Description

Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks a group of substances called leukotrienes. The leukotrienes cause narrowing and swelling of the airways in the lungs. By blocking the leukotrienes, Montelukast improves asthma symptoms and helps control the asthma.

Montelukast granules are used to treat asthma in patients aged 6 months to 5 years who are not adequately controlled by their medication and need additional treatment.
