This medicine is a combined oral contraceptive pill
low-dose contraceptive contains two types of female sex hormones, oestrogen and progestogen
These hormones prevent an egg being released from your ovaries so you cant get pregnant, It also makes the fluid (mucus) in your cervix thicker which makes it more difficult for sperm to enter the womb.
How To Use
Start taking Marvelon 28 on the first day of your cycle, i.e. the first day of menstrual bleeding. Take a tablet from the green section marked with that day of the week. You may also start on days 2 5 of your cycle, but in that case make sure you also use an additional contraceptive method (see Additional Contraceptive Precautions in this section) for the first 7 days of tablet-taking in the first cycle Follow the direction of the arrows until all 28 tablets have been taken
