Description

Pariet tablets contain the active ingredient rabeprazole sodium. This belongs to a group of medicines called Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs). They work by lowering the amount of acid that your stomach produces.

Benefits

Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), which can include heartburn. GORD is caused when acid and food from your stomach escapes into your food pipe (esophagus).
Ulcers in your stomach or the upper part of your gut (intestine)
ulcer with Helicobacter pylori (H. Pylori) infection
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome where your stomach produces too much acid

How To Use

The recommended adult oral dose for GERD and duedenal ulcers is 20 mg once daily for up to four weeks
PARIET tablets can be taken with meals or on an empty stomach.
PARIET tablets are entericcoated and therefore should be swallowed whole with a beverage (not chewed or crushed).
