Nexium 10 mg Esomeprazole For Oral Suspension 28 Sachets is a medicine that reduces the amount of acid in your stomach. It is used to treat acid reflux, ulcers, and other conditions caused by excess stomach acid. Nexium belongs to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It works by blocking the enzyme that produces stomach acid, thus lowering the acidity level in your stomach and relieving your symptoms. Nexium comes in convenient sachets that contain granules that dissolve easily in water. Each sachet contains 10 mg of esomeprazole, the active ingredient that helps control your stomach acid. Nexium is suitable for children over 1 year of age and adults who suffer from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), ulcers, or other acid-related disorders. Nexium can also help prevent ulcers in people who take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or are infected with a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori.
